The Roundy Bar

roundyoutsideThe Roundy Bar is located in the oldest area of Cork and within one of the oldest buildings in Cork. The building is situated in a wonderfully unique building as old as Cork itself. It may be hard to imagine it while you’re sitting outside nowadays, in the busy terrace, but the corner on which the Roundy is situated was once part of a busy medieval market place and, at one point, surrounded by artificial canals instead of laneways.

The Cornmarket, which is now locally known as the Coal Quay, was home to many transient and permanent traders including vintners, cobblers, ship-chandlers and rope makers. Nowadays, the Coal Quay and Castle St remain home to many longstanding traders and form part of the city’s cultural heritage. So call in for a coffee some day and soak up some of the local history of the old market area.

By day, this wonderful small and intimate bar has a relaxed atmosphere that makes it the perfect place for a morning coffee. By night, it transforms itself into a lively night spot with live music and djs. What makes The Roundy bar stand out is not only the fantastic staff but also our famous selection of speciality beers. So why not drop in, take a seat and check us out

Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
